About Zylia:
Zylia is a small, soulful, 50‑cover restaurant that brings the spirit of a real Cypriot village taverna into the heart of London. Inspired by the aromas of charcoal cooking, the warmth of Mediterranean hospitality, and the generosity of a homecooked meal, Zylia is a place full of energy, tradition, and heart.
About the role:
We are looking for an exceptional Host to join our growing team – someone who cares about creating a welcoming and genuine vibe from the moment guests walk through the door, loves looking after others, and wants to be part of a restaurant that feels more like a home than a workplace.
As a Host at Zylia, you love delivering top-notch guest experiences and have a knack for making every service unforgettable. The successful candidate in this role will:
- Greet guests with flair and enthusiasm, making them feel like VIPs
- Manage seating arrangements with a dash of creativity and style
- Provide guests with engaging information about food partners and drink offerings
- Help coordinate special events and promotions, adding your unique touch
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Help build a beloved neighbourhood taverna
- Celebrate Cypriot traditions and flavours
- Be part of a supportive, family-style restaurant environment
- Grow and develop within an expanding brand!
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Bring prior experience in a FoH position greeting and seating guests
- Have working experience of table booking systems like SevenRooms, OpenTable or Tripleseat
- Are a strong team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English is a must)
- Are calm, confident and can multitask under pressure
- Bring a warm and approachable demeanour that naturally connects with guests and colleagues
- Have a genuine love for simple, honest and authentic hospitality
- Are passionate about Mediterranean culture
