About the role:

Due to our current growth and success, we're expanding our People Team and now looking for a People Manager to work alongside our onsite operational leaders, helping build great teams and creating an environment where our people can do their best work.

This is a role for someone who is hands on and enjoys making things happen. Someone who is comfortable working with autonomy, brings ideas to the table and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish.

As our People Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting everything from employee relations and onboarding to engagement, performance and organisational growth; helping to make Arcade a great place to work.

What you'll be doing:

Partner with managers to help them build great teams, offering practical support and guidance on employee relations, performance and day-to-day people matters.
Own the onboarding journey, making sure every new joiner feels welcomed, supported and set up for success from day one.
Lead our employee recognition, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, helping make Arcade a great place to work.
Look for better ways of doing things, continuously improving our People processes and the experience they create.
Use People data and insights to help leaders make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead projects that strengthen the employee experience and support Arcade as we continue to grow.
Keep our People systems, records and employment documentation accurate, compliant and running smoothly.
Most importantly, you'll enjoy taking ownership, improving the way things work and helping create an outstanding place to work.

You'll bring:

Experience supporting employee relations cases.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confidence working with managers at all levels.
A proactive mindset and genuine curiosity.
The ability to build relationships quickly and influence positively.

Experience:

Experience in a People Manager, Peopl Partner, HR Advisor or similar Generalist People role.
Strong experience and knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
Confident leading People projects and improving ways of working.
Comfortable using HR systems and People data to support decision-making.
Experience in hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment is desirable but not a deal breaker

Qualifications:

CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) is desirable
Equivalent practical HR experience will be equally valued.
